Paper
Paper was manufactured in 104 A.D. by Cai Lun during Han Dynasty(202 B.C.-A.A. 220). A person would take the inner bark of a mulberry tree and bamboo fibers, mix them with water, and pound it with a wooden tool. Then that person would pour this mixture unto a flat piece of coarsely woven cloth and let the water drain through, leaving only the fibers on the cloth. That's how the Han Dynasty made paper. The Han dynasty also made paper out of tree bark, remnants of hemp, linen rags, and fishnets, The invention was presented to Emperor He Di in 105 A.D.

Chain Pump
The chain pump made it easier to move water from low irrigation ditches and canals up to the fields. The workers used pedals to turn a wheel, which pulled a number of wooden planks that moved water uphill to the fields.
